Sometimes you just require a quick meeting to catch up with the group. You don’t require a whole lot of whistles and bells or even extra nonsense tools.
MeetingBurner’s free edition, Mac or PC, for as much as 15 participants comprises screen sharing and a phone-in line. MeetingBurner Vs Zoom
Based on Flash and Java, MeetingBurner requires only a couple of minutes to establish, after which you as secretary get a dashboard from which you may correct settings (there are not too many), schedule a meeting, or simply launch one right away. The service provides you a customized URL (yourname.meetingburner.com) and phone number to share with participants. A MeetingBurner URL lets you share your screen.
You start by running a Java applet that creates a little control window where you can define whether to talk about the entire screen, a program, or a custom area. It’s too bad that participants see a gray rectangle in the region covered by the management window, however you can at least move the window around so it does not conceal important info.
If you share your whole screen, participants may see a navigation bar with info about you based on your settings, the name of your meeting, the dial-in number, and a chat window (if you have approved one). You also receive a list of participants, and MeetingBurner lets you create any one of these the presenter–though that person must download and operate the screen-sharing applet.
Drawbacks? MeetingBurner’s interface is cluttered and not always intuitive.
More importantly, the free version doesn’t permit you to record the event. To document a meeting and discuss that record, you must subscribe to either the $40-per-month MeetingBurner Guru (for as many as 50 participants) or the $100-per-month Premier edition, which supports up to 1000 users also adds information into the mix.
So while this is all well and good, if there is not a means to streamline all your contacts to the service or offer, there’s no real benefit. Therefore, one must go a step further to optimize their marketing efforts.
